A 1-inch tile grid can measure a character's movement (MOVE number) in COMBAT. It can also measure their RANGE for attacks or SPELLS. A 1-inch tile represents 5 feet in the world of the game. In this illustration, ◯ represents a character. Solid tiles represent their possible MOVE or RANGE at different distances.
Tiles can measure the size of characters and objects. Playable LIFEFORMS occupy a single tile (5 x 5 foot) space. Small and medium characters also occupy a single tile space. Large characters occupy a 2 x 2 tile (10 x 10 foot) space. Huge characters occupy a 3 x 3 tile (15 x 15 foot) space or larger. This is a grid showing the space that (from left to right) small/medium, large, and huge lifeforms occupy.
