ENEMIES are NPCs played by the GM. Unlike friendly NPCs, ENEMIES create conflict and can fight in COMBAT.
The GM uses an ENEMY's stats when role-playing. At the top of the stats are the ENEMY's name and description. Below that are the ENEMY's SIZE, HEALTH, REFLEX, and MOVE. The next section describes the ENEMY's ATTACKS or SPELLS. An ATTACK might be done with an object like a knife or with the ENEMY's body like biting. ATTACKS require the GM rolling a d12 equal to or greater than a PC's REFLEX to hit. An ENEMY SPELL will always say SPELL in the name. ENEMY SPELLS do not require a roll to hit. Lastly, an ENEMY's ABILITIES are listed.
Some ENEMY SPELLS stats describe their DAMAGE, RANGE, and SNEAK. Some ENEMY SPELLS are the same as PC SPELLS. SPELLS with a number followed by an x can only be cast that many times per day. The GM should check the list of ENEMY SPELLS below for any stats without a description.
The target sees strange colors. They make CURSED ROLLS for 1 minute or 1 round of COMBAT. They must remain in sight.
The target is unable to harm this ENEMY for 1 minutes or 1 rounds of COMBAT. They must remain in sight.
This ENEMY can move a target up to 8 tiles (40 feet) away from where they are. They must remain in sight.
This ENEMY casts 1 SPELL that any character within 6 tiles knows.
The target is FRIGHTENED. They cannot move or take action. They must roll a d12 equal to or greater than this ENEMY's REFLEX on their turn to reverse the SPELL.
This ENEMY creates a 1 x 1 tile (5 x 5 foot) hole in the ground. It is 20-feet deep. The location must be within the ENEMY's line of sight. Any character who falls in the hole loses 3 HEALTH.
This ENEMY changes its shape into any LIFEFORM or object for 3 minutes or 3 rounds of COMBAT. All ENEMY stats remain the same.
This ENEMY climbs into their shell and their REFLEX increases by 6 until their next turn.
The target's MOVE number is 1 while they are within 12 tiles (60 feet) of this ENEMY.
The target falls asleep and must roll a d12 equal to or greater than their own REFLEX on their turn to wake up.
The target is swallowed by this ENEMY. The target cannot move and makes CURSED ROLLS while swallowed. The target loses 1 HEALTH every 1 minute or 1 round of COMBAT while swallowed.
This ENEMY creates a 1 x 1 tile (5 x 5 foot) tornado. It is 20-feet tall. Any character standing in the same space as the tornado loses 3 HEALTH and are flung up to 6 tiles (30 feet) away from the tornado in a random direction.
